Just around the corner from Ventnor is a hidden gem, waiting to be explored – Steephill Cove.

The tiny fishing village is a short walk away from both Ventnor esplanade and the Botanic Gardens along the coastal path. With no cars in the village (parking is available further inland) and the paths simply covered in the shingle from the beach, when arriving in the village, you’ll feel like your stepping back in time.

Away from modern life, the huts and houses form a perfect setting for a relaxing day out. It’s a no fuss kind of place, with a few restaurants and cafes, some of which feature fresh fish caught by the fisherman of the cove, and of course, the beach.

And that’s it. But with the view, who needs any more?
