The Island Will Wait

Posted on

In line with Government advice, we have unfortunately had to close all of our apartments for guests. With such lovely weather at the moment, it is so sad to not be able to have guests enjoying all the island has to offer. Nevertheless, as soon as we are able, we will be back open and running as normal.

For guests who have bookings during the closure period, we are getting in touch to rearrange to either the autumn of this year or any time during 2021, which is now open for bookings. As we don’t know when the closure will end, we are getting in touch a couple of weeks before your stay to rearrange and for stays where we process the payments, also not taking any balance payments until we are back open.

We are delighted by the positive response to this with many guests having relocated their stays already. This is also forming part of The Island Will Wait campaign across the industry on the island.

In the meanwhile, to get your island fix, do follow us on Instagram or Facebook to see our photos and videos from across the island.

Success At Booking.com Awards 2020 + Welcome Cottages Green Award

For a second year, we’re delighted to be successful at the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards. We’ve won for all of our properties, achieving 9.4 out of 10 or higher for our selection. We are pleased to have had another year of great stays for our guests and look forward to welcoming record numbers of returning guests during 2020.

We’ve also received Welcome Cottages’ Green Awards for our green credentials. Along with our green activities in running our apartments, we are boosting our information to provide lots more on car free travel, public transport options and where to buy locally on the island, which is gradually being added to our website.

We’ve made the big decision to stop charging booking fees for all new bookings – saving you £35 on your stay!

With the growing trend of charging without a booking fee across the holiday let industry and the fee now being used by the big agencies only, we’ve decided that, as a small, local business, we feel that it doesn’t fit in anymore and much better used for ice creams on the island!

Don’t forget – 2020 availability is now open and filling up fast, so get booking your stay now to avoid missing your chosen week.
