After a battle of the UK’s top holiday destinations, the Isle of Wight has got the silver with a 2nd place finish in the Countryfile Magazine Awards 2018.

In the Holiday Destination Of The Year 2018 category, our island got the accolade after nearly 30,000 readers voted in the awards, with the food, walks and of course fossils noted.

On the Isle of Wight, judge Mark Rowe has said:

The Isle of Wight deserves its recognition. As a holiday destination it has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years – still keeping its bucket and spades close to its heart but opening up to good food, walking and local crafts.

There is still availability across our properties including limited July and August weeks – but getting booking quick, as the calendar is filling up fast.
